I’ve been writing a lot of new material and am very excited to get back in the studio, but “The Fire and the Flood” is still the hot topic for fall and winter. The song “It’s Fine” got picked-up for a compilation being put out by Barnes and Noble, so I am very excited about that! “The Flood” is still a completely non-profit download, with all proceeds going to MusiCares. We have also story-boarded a video for “Then I Woke Up,” so be on the look-out for that on Myspace Friends and Family!

I recorded backing vocals on an album by Matt Urmy that is coming out later this year. We are doing a few dates together in support of that record, but also just because we love playing shows together. Urmy is a precious talent. If you have not heard his music yet, check out “Sweet Lonesome,” his latest full band record.

This week I have simply been resting from the uproar of my sister moving back to L.A., my shows out of town and a bad case of bronchitis and sinus infection! Summer in Nashville=yucky allergens. I hope to be back in action by Wednesday for a great show in Chattanooga! It’s been too long!
